Красота в глазах смотрящего. И не просто смотрящего, а смотрящего с любовью… на весь мир. Вновь и вновь убеждаюсь, что человек, влюбленный в жизнь, видит прекрасное там, где обыватель или человек с сердцем, полным ненависти, в лучшем случае не видит ничего. В худшем - видит уродство, начинает ворчать на всех. К сожалению есть такие люди. У них, как у Кая из “Снежной королевы” Андерсена, будто осколок дьявольского зеркала в сердце. На что бы они ни смотрели, везде они найдут изъян.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. And not just an ordinary one - the one who looks... to the world with love. That’s what I realize again and again. The one who is in love with this life can see beauty where a middlebrow or the one whose heart is full of hate would see nothing, if we are lucky. If the worst comes to the worst he or she would see ugliness and start grumbling at everyone. Unfortunately, there are many people like this. Like Andersen’s Kai from “The Snow Queen” - as if they have splinters of the troll-mirror into their hearts. Whatever they look at, they find it ugly or defective. 

Посвящаю этот пост тем, кто сейчас находится на перепутье, делает сложный выбор или задается вопросом, куда идти дальше. Сейчас лето, выпускники сдают экзамены, собираются поступать, искать свое призвание… Несколько лет назад и в моей жизни был такой “момент”. Я очень-очень переживала, много плакала (впустую) и все же пришла к поставленной цели. Надеюсь этот пост поможет вам поверить в себя, если в вашей жизни сейчас сложный период.

I dedicate this post to all those who are at a crossroads, who are having tough choices and asking themselves which direction to choose. It’s summer now, children are passing their school-leaving exams, entering the University, looking for their true purpose… A few years ago I was living exactly the same moment. I was absolutely depressed, cried a lot (uselessly) and achieved my goal. I hope this post helps you to believe in yourself if you’re having this tough period right now.
